Season, home ice and next practice
20 weekly practices, then the tournament.
A team of Autistic athletes. Built to play.
The Orcas are a Canucks Autism Network (CAN) hockey team for Autistic players ages 8 to 18. Every week of the season we're on the ice working on skating, stickhandling, passing and shooting, then putting it all together in games and scrimmages.
Coaches, support workers and volunteers work with each player, so everyone gets the help that works for them.

In their words
CAN hockey is about 20 kids, desperate to belong, who have found a second home wearing the same jersey.
No matter the age or ability, they're all having a great time and finding their joy in hockey.
Mitch started CAN hockey when he was 9. Today, he is competing with Chilliwack MHA at the U18 level.
One day. Fourteen teams. All of BC.
Every spring the season ends with a day of friendly competition. Adapted teams travel in from the Lower Mainland, Vancouver Island and the Interior.
